"The Source New Testament is an elegant generic translation that follows the Greek text tightly without becoming a slavish word-for-word rendition. Because of the translator's evident freedom from dependency on older versions, the richness of the original text is brought out in ways that are often arresting and always illuminating. This work constitutes a version of the New Testament that can be used for devotional reading as well as for research and Bible study purposes as an authoritative reference tool. The companion annotated volume is a marvel of pertinent and reliable inter-disciplinary research. It provides a mother-lode of linguistic, literary, theological and historico-cultural background information that serious readers of the Bible cannot afford to ignore. A brilliant and God-honouring achievement." --Dr. Gilbert Bilezikian, Wheaton College

God Wants YOU Rich: Here’s How! Robyn Montrec Robyn Montrec was raised Religious, the righteous of her world were characterized as meek and modest – being poor was necessary to reach God. Some degree of pleasure was allowed, fruit biscuits served on yellowed lace doilies by unassuming elderly ladies who had lived their life without wealth, or with Godliness, as they would have believed. Now she is a real estate investor, a woman of wealth, that is to say, she’s absolutely rolling in it. Does that make her “evil” in God’s eyes? Not a chance. God Wants YOU Rich: Here’s How tells us why God wants us rich – and how to get that way, step by step!

| The Source New Testament. (No notes.) Are you tired of reading formal and difficult language in Bibles? The Source puts the easy, everyday language of the original Greek into equivalent English and does not add a formal religious tone (as such tone, despite being popular in many English Bibles, was not there in the original language). The Source is the only New Testament translation based on word meaning evidence from the recently discovered papyri and inscriptions. For centuries, translators had to guess the meaning of hundreds of New Testament words. After 1976, huge numbers of papyri and inscriptions were discovered. These contained numerous examples of these previously unknown New Testament words in everyday documents, which revealed their actual meaning. The Source is the only New Testament translation by a Classical Greek scholar (rather than theologian) and not financed by, or translated by, a committee of a specific denomination. Harlots, Victims, and Rulers: The Startling Truth about Women in the early Bible. When we do hear about women in the Old Testament, and that is seldom, we hear how they were traitors, femme fatales, and harlots. It is not often that Deborah, mighty Judge of Israel, is preached from the pulpit, or the woman Jael, who single-handedly brought down a mighty warrior, or the ambitious Achsah, a political envoy who owned and ran a great city. Delilah, in reality a captured woman in fear of her life, is presented as the archetypal traitorous temptress. In those early times, the line of inheritance was passed down though women, and husbands had to live with the wife’s family. The society was of mother-right and matriarchy. Yet Religion has allied itself with Patriarchy to present instead to the church-goer and world at large an entirely different picture. Historian Patricia Erlandsen sets out the facts in this fascinating story of powerful women and powerless women from Genesis to Judges.
